The National assembly of Vietnam voted on November 25th by over 83% on new amendments of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners. The new law will be adopted on July 1, 2020.
New Labor Code to come into force in 2021
The National Assembly of Vietnam voted on November 25, 2019 to approve a new labor code which will become effective January 1, 2021. The new labor code will replace the labor code which was implemented in 2013.

The new Decree 11/2016/ND-CP, issued by MOLISA on February 3, 2016, details the implementation of articles of the labor code on the management of foreign nationals working in Vietnam. This new decree includes the basic implementation guidelines on issuance of Work Permit and on deportation of foreign nationals working in Vietnam without work permit.
