The two key points from this directive (effective January 1, 2022) are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nh\u1eefng du kh\u00e1ch \u0111\u00e3 ti\u00eam ph\u00f2ng \u0111\u1ea7y \u0111\u1ee7 (ho\u1eb7c cung c\u1ea5p b\u1eb1ng ch\u1ee9ng ph\u00f9 h\u1ee3p v\u1ec1 vi\u1ec7c kh\u1ecfi b\u1ec7nh COVID-19) ch\u1ec9 c\u1ea7n c\u00e1ch ly trong 3 ng\u00e0y (thay v\u00ec 7 ng\u00e0y nh\u01b0 tr\u01b0\u1edbc \u0111\u00e2y).<\/li>\n<li>Du kh\u00e1ch nh\u1eadp c\u1ea3nh c\u00f3 th\u1ec3 th\u1ef1c hi\u1ec7n c\u00e1ch ly t\u1ea1i nh\u00e0 ri\u00eang ho\u1eb7c kh\u00e1ch s\u1ea1n (thay v\u00ec ch\u1ec9 \u1edf t\u1ea1i kh\u00e1ch s\u1ea1n c\u00e1ch ly do ch\u00ednh ph\u1ee7 ph\u00ea duy\u1ec7t).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quarantine_Requirements_in_Ho_Chi_Minh_City\"><\/span>C\u00e1c quy \u0111\u1ecbnh c\u00e1ch ly t\u1ea1i Th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 H\u1ed3 Ch\u00ed Minh<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>As detailed further below, there remain requirements by the local Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health (HCMC DOH) that include the need to register the residence or hotel where the traveler will be performing their 3-day quarantine.  As this is a very new announcement (released December 24, 2021, by the HCMC DOH, No: 9713\/SYT-NVY, we can expect there to be some inconsistent implementation or unclear requirements as the various procedures are finalized over the coming weeks. It cannot be stressed enough that due to the newness of this announcement, and the developing impact of the Omicron variant, any incoming traveler must stay up to date with the most recent requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Xin l\u01b0u \u00fd r\u1eb1ng t\u1ea5t c\u1ea3 c\u00e1c quy tr\u00ecnh v\u00e0 y\u00eau c\u1ea7u ph\u00ea duy\u1ec7t nh\u1eadp c\u1ea3nh \u0111\u1eb7c bi\u1ec7t (ch\u1eb3ng h\u1ea1n nh\u01b0 x\u00e9t nghi\u1ec7m PCR tr\u01b0\u1edbc khi kh\u1edfi h\u00e0nh) v\u1eabn \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c \u00e1p d\u1ee5ng v\u00e0 ch\u1ec9 nh\u1eefng du kh\u00e1ch thu\u1ed9c c\u00e1c \u0111\u1ed1i t\u01b0\u1ee3ng \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c ph\u00e9p m\u1edbi \u0111\u1ee7 \u0111i\u1ec1u ki\u1ec7n nh\u1eadp c\u1ea3nh.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_Points_Regarding_Shortened_Quarantine\"><\/span><strong>Nh\u1eefng \u0111i\u1ec3m ch\u00ednh li\u00ean quan \u0111\u1ebfn vi\u1ec7c r\u00fat ng\u1eafn th\u1eddi gian c\u00e1ch ly:<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Ch\u00fang t\u00f4i \u0111\u1eb7c bi\u1ec7t khuy\u1ebfn ngh\u1ecb t\u1ea5t c\u1ea3 du kh\u00e1ch s\u1eafp \u0111\u1ebfn n\u00ean ki\u1ec3m tra tr\u01b0\u1edbc khi kh\u1edfi h\u00e0nh v\u1edbi v\u0103n ph\u00f2ng \u0111\u1ecba ph\u01b0\u01a1ng, h\u00e3ng h\u00e0ng kh\u00f4ng, n\u01a1i c\u00e1ch ly v\u00e0 c\u00e1c c\u01a1 quan ch\u1ee9c n\u0103ng kh\u00e1c. <a href=\"https:\/\/residentvietnam.com\/vi\/contact\/\">nh\u00e0 cung c\u1ea5p d\u1ecbch v\u1ee5 nh\u1eadp c\u01b0<\/a> to ensure they are updated with most recent requirements.  In some cases, especially at this early stage, travelers may still be required to perform 7-day quarantine until all involved government entities, airlines, and hotels are aligned.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arriving travelers to HCMC must report to local medical staff the information of entry and residence address within 24 hours. The traveler will be monitored and tested during their 3-day quarantine. We are awaiting further details\/clarification on this point from the local authorities as to this reporting procedure.<\/li>\n<li>The place of stay for the 3-day quarantine must be registered\/approved by the local authorities. In the announcement, the HCMC DOH notes that it has requested airlines to collect information on the place of stay for the incoming traveler.  The airlines are to then inform the HCMC CDC in order for them to notify the district CDC of the traveler\u2019s place of stay.<\/li>\n<li>For the traveler, they still must complete a health declaration online (which includes place of stay) and bring this along to submit at the Health Quarantine Desk at the immigration point of entry (this is an existing process\/requirement).  We are awaiting further details\/clarification on this point from the local authorities as to this registration\/approval procedure.  At the time of this writing, many standard hotels (non-quarantine) in HCMC have stated that they cannot receive newly arrived travelers for 3-day quarantine. Therefore, in all cases (at least for the short term), we recommend travelers still book and stay in one of the few government-approved quarantine hotels.<\/li>\n<li>Official, pre-approved transport from the airport to the place of quarantine:  There is no specific new guidance on this point in the announcement.  Newly arrived travelers may only take approved transport as per previous requirements\/procedures until further notice.<\/li>\n<li>C\u00f3 v\u1ebb nh\u01b0 th\u1ebb ti\u00eam ch\u1ee7ng\/ Gi\u1ea5y ch\u1ee9ng nh\u1eadn kh\u1ecfi b\u1ec7nh Covid-19 v\u00e0 th\u00f4ng tin x\u00e1c nh\u1eadn v\u1ec1 vi\u1ec7c c\u00e1ch ly\/ t\u1ef1 c\u00e1ch ly\/ \u0111\u1ecba ch\u1ec9 c\u01b0 tr\u00fa s\u1ebd \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c y\u00eau c\u1ea7u \u0111\u1ed1i v\u1edbi \u0111\u01a1n xin ph\u00ea duy\u1ec7t y\u00eau c\u1ea7u nh\u1eadp c\u1ea3nh \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c n\u1ed9p cho B\u1ed9 Lao \u0111\u1ed9ng.
